Job summary

BRC is seeking a Community Liaison to ensure clients and homeless individuals encounter compliant, supportive outreach and referrals while coordinating with our 24-hour shelter operations.

You will collect data, identify mental health and substance abuse signs, and connect clients with available services, counseling behavior in and outside the facility. The role emphasizes safety, community relations, and compassion across NYC shelters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with two years of experience in mental health/substance abuse population or related community work.
• High school diploma with six years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to clients and homeless individuals; ensure compliance with the Good Neighbor Policy.
• Escort and refer clients; supervise Front Door Community Technicians to maintain 24-hour shelter operation.
