Job summary

SPCA Cincinnati is seeking an Office Manager to oversee the daily administrative operations of the shelter’s medical clinic, while providing veterinary assistant support during busy periods. The ideal candidate is highly organized, compassionate, and comfortable in a fast-paced animal welfare environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal welfare setting, with basic veterinary terminology knowledge and strong computer

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with scheduling software, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and payroll.
• Order and inventory medical supplies.
• Enter medical records and review histories.
• Maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, Radiology, DEA, Pharmacy board, Licensing board).
• Coordinate communication between veterinarians, shelter staff, foster department, volunteers, and external partners.
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and administrative projects as needed.
• Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist visitors.
