Job summary

Hope the Mission is seeking a Client Services Monitor to support on-site operations in Bakersfield, CA. The role focuses on safety, compassion, and orderly housing program functioning for participants who have experienced homelessness.

The CSM collaborates with the Program Manager and site staff to ensure daily activities run smoothly, comply with contract requirements, and uphold the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in homeless services, shelter operations or social service preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility cleanliness and sanitation; ensure safety and readiness.
• Conduct wellness checks and monitor participant safety.
• Assist with participant intake, orientation and site guidelines as directed by management.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and HMIS documentation as applicable.
• Provide shift coverage and assist with meal service and operational duties.
