The Family Place is seeking a Resident Advocate to create a safe, supportive environment for survivors of family violence in our Dallas shelter. You will provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and help residents access essential services while maintaining safety and dignity.

You will work with a team of case managers and volunteers to ensure smooth intakes, safety planning, and ongoing client support, including transportation and basic needs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or similar with 6 months of residential facility/shelter experience
• Associate degree plus equivalent training/experience acceptable
• Bilingual English/Spanish may be required for some roles

Responsabilidades

• Provide emotional support and crisis intervention for residents
• Assist with intake, orientation, and safety planning within 24 hours of arrival
• Collaborate with case managers, staff, interns, and volunteers
• Monitor facility safety, cleanliness, and inventory; assist with transportation and essential needs
• Support with resident meetings, children's activities, and special events
