Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Keosauqua, IA is seeking a skilled Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal to join the Operations team on the 1st shift. You will operate brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders and deburring machines, set up tooling, and read blueprints to produce parts for downstream departments.

This position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork. You’ll inspect finished parts, follow written instructions, and perform preventative maintenance while maintaining a clean, organized work

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments (rulers, calipers).
• Experience operating sheet metal equipment.
• Comfort reading specifications and following instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines.
• Fill part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department.
• Read rulers, tape measures, squares, protractors and gauges to verify dimensions.
• Start machines, adjust controls, and perform trial cuts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
