You’ll read blueprints, measure parts, and inspect finished pieces to ensure dimensional accuracy while following safety guidelines and work instructions. A discretionary bonus may be earned based on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and production processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow work orders precisely.
• Proficiency with measuring tools (rulers, calipers, squares).
• Commitment to safety rules and personal protective equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to read and interpret written and verbal instructions.
• Capable of basic machine setup and preventive maintenance.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to multiple workstations.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in sheet metal department: brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, deburring machines.
• Fill part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department.
• Read rulers, tape measures, squares, protractors, and other instruments.
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Inspect finished pieces for dimensions and conformity with specs using gauges.
• Start machines, adjust controls, and perform trial cuts.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust to meet specs.
• Work at various workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Use proper safety equipment for each operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
