Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and work orders.
• Familiarity with rulers, calipers, gauges, and measurement tools.
• Proven ability to operate sheet metal equipment safely and efficiently.
• Comfort working in a production team and following written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the sheet metal department, including brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines.
• Fill all part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department.
• Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, angle finders, protractors, and other measuring instruments.
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Examine finished work pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Start machines, adjust controls, and run trial cuts to verify operation.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust to maintain quality.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Use safety equipment and apparel for each operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned
