Heidelberg USA in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Field Service Technician – Sheetfed to install, troubleshoot, repair, and train customers on Heidelberg equipment. You will partner with installation teams and service staff to complete tasks efficiently and uphold service quality.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in bindery equipment, a mechanical/mechatronics background, and strong hands-on skills. Travel ~50% and weekend availability may be required, with a focus on customer success and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience on printing or similar equipment, preferably Heidelberg.
• Willing to travel about 50% of the time.
• 3-5 years of experience on bindery equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers).
• Mechanical/mechatronics background.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Hands-on problem solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; overtime/weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and train customers on Sheetfed equipment.
• Install equipment with qualified riggers and handle move requests.
• Inspect SS36 inspections and document with photos for records.
• Complete expenses, timesheets, escalation reports, and online training on time.
• Demonstrate value of Heidelberg service to generate additional revenue (APS/Car stock).
