Job summary

Heidelberg-USA in Westfield, NJ is seeking a Field Service Technician with an Electrical focus to install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Heidelberg Sheetfed equipment at customer sites. A company vehicle is provided and travel to sites is required.

You will resolve electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance, and train customers on operation and basic maintenance. Strong electrical knowledge and the ability to interpret schematics are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial electrical systems or controls troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment or control systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and field diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Preferred 3–5 years of experience with sheetfed or related industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and control system issues on Heidelberg Sheetfed printing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service on Sheetfed equipment under charge service and service contracts/warranty agreements.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation to identify faults and complete repairs.
• Install and support new or used equipment in coordination with qualified riggers and installation teams, including relocations.
• Conduct scheduled equipment inspections and ensure proper documentation and photos.
• Maintain accurate service documentation to support equipment performance tracking.
• Provide customer training on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting procedures.
• Demonstrate Heidelberg service value during customer visits and identify opportunities for APS or parts sales.
