Job summary

This role requires forklift operation, attention to safety, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced environment. You will keep work cells tidy and coordinate with buyers to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive material handling.
• Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unloads raw materials from supplier trucks.
• Receives sheet material into the inventory system and verifies condition and quantity.
• Prints and affixes barcoded tags to sheet pallets for identification and traceability.
• Maintains inventory by labeling, locating, and reconciling stock with the inventory system.
• Locates materials using the system to support production needs at cutting centers.
• Delivers and opens materials at work centers to maintain the production schedule.
• Consolidates skids of like sheet stock to maximize shelf utilization.
• Operates and maintains material-handling equipment; performs pre-use inspections.
• Keeps work area neat and safe; reports safety concerns to supervisor.
