Job summary

Plastic Recycling Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to safely manage materials across the plant, including shipping/receiving, loading extrusion lines, and moving goods between departments to support continuous production.

Responsibilities include receiving raw materials, staging outgoing shipments, packing finished products, operating forklifts, maintaining organized storage, ensuring accurate documentation, and following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift certification and experience required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming raw materials and verify against purchase orders.
  • Prepare and stage outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
  • Load raw plastic feedstock at the start of extrusion lines.
  • Package finished products at the end of extrusion lines.
  • Move materials between production areas using forklifts or other equipment.
  • Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper inventory rotation.
  • Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory records accurately.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and forklift operation standards.
  • Inspect forklifts and material handling equipment daily; report issues promptly
