Job summary

Phoenix Metals in Spring Hill, TN seeks a warehouse associate to support metals processing and distribution. You will move inventory, pick orders, tag items and maintain accurate stock records under supervision.

Primarily performing material handling, you may operate forklifts and cranes for loading/unloading, and you will ensure a clean, safe work environment while meeting safety and quality standards in a plant setting. A valid license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must meet MVR criteria per regulations.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate material handling and rigging equipment.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory and equipment, fill customer orders.
• Pull and assemble orders from shipping documentation.
• Tag material for identification and complete required documentation.
• Move material using forklift, side loader, or crane.
• Operate yard truck for loading/unloading trailers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Sort material on racks by size, type, or product code.
• Spot check inventory and tagging as directed.
• Report irregularities to supervisor for direction.
• Restock material as needed.
• Occasionally drive a non-DOT vehicle for local deliveries and parts pickups.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
