Atlantic Constructors is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Commercial Sheetmetal to oversee onsite crews, plan scheduling, and ensure safety and quality on the jobsite. The role combines supervisory duties with hands-on sheetmetal tasks to deliver projects on time and within spec.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial sheetmetal, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple sites while coordinating with subcontractors and the general contractor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial field sheetmetal operations experience.
• Extensive knowledge of air systems installation.
• Ability to supervise crews effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of job cost reports and workforce planning.
• Understanding of construction cost control and forecasting.
• Ability to present information to customers and colleagues.
• Capability to multi-task with minimal supervision and attention to detail.
• Must adhere to company policies and travel to multiple job sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision of commercial sheetmetal crews.
• Promote and monitor safety at all times.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, foremen and general contractor to promote efficiency.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions.
• Perform material take-offs and order tools and materials timely.
• Ensure quality installation of sheetmetal activities.
• Coordinate deliveries and track shipping documents.
• Forecast labor needs based on anticipated deliveries.
• Manage shared tools and maintain site cleanliness.
• Report progress, compliance, and obstacles to supervision.
