Job summary

Atlantic Constructors Inc. is seeking a dynamic Assistant Superintendent for Commercial Sheetmetal to lead on-site teams and manage jobsite logistics and safety under the Superintendent.

This working supervisor will actively perform skilled sheetmetal tasks while coordinating with foremen, subcontractors and the general contractor to keep projects on schedule. Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in commercial sheetmetal, air systems knowledge, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience in field sheetmetal operations.
• Extensive knowledge of air systems installation.
• Ability to successfully supervise crews.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of job costing, workforce planning and estimating.
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision of commercial sheetmetal crews.
• Promote and monitor safety at all times.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, foremen, tradesmen and GC to remove obstacles and promote efficiency.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions.
• Perform material take-offs and order tools/materials to maximize field productivity.
• Ensure high-quality installation of sheetmetal activities.
• Coordinate deliveries and track against documents.
• Forecast labor needs based on deliveries.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance on site.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure schedules and specs are met.
