Job summary

Atlantic Constructors in Virginia seeks an experienced Sheet Metal Superintendent to lead on-site crews across commercial projects. You will guide foremen and field teams, oversee budgeting, scheduling, and ensure quality workmanship.

This role requires 7+ years in sheet metal or HVAC, strong communication skills, OSHA 30, and the ability to manage large crews (20+). Travel to multiple job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial experience as Superintendent in sheet metal or HVAC
• Extensive knowledge of Sheet Metal / HVAC systems installation
• Ability to supervise large crews (20+), strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with man hour reports, job cost reports, workforce planning and estimating
• Knowledge of design drawings and contract documents

Responsibilities

• Supervises sheet metal foreman, field crew, subcontractors and craft activities, including budgeting and scheduling
• Coordinates work of different crafts and departments
• Identifies and documents potential change orders
• Builds positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors
• Conducts weekly safety meetings and ensures on-site safety compliance
• Plans, schedules and coordinates on-site functions and inspections
• Performs material take-offs and orders tools, materials and equipment to maximize productivity
• Ensures quality installation and cost control across projects
• Liaises with engineering, estimating and project teams to meet drawings and specs
• Travels to multiple job sites as assigned
