Atlantic Constructors is seeking a career-minded Assistant Superintendent for Commercial Sheetmetal to manage on-site teams, logistics, and safety compliance under the Superintendent. This role combines supervisory duties with hands-on sheetmetal installation tasks, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to schedules.

The position requires 5+ years of field sheetmetal experience, strong knowledge of air systems, and proven ability to lead crews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience in field sheetmetal operations.
• Extensive knowledge of air systems installation.
• Ability to successfully supervise crews.
• Experience with man hour reports, job cost reports, workforce planning and estimating.
• Understanding of construction cost control, forecasting and goal setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision of commercial sheetmetal crews.
• Promote and monitor safety at all times.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, foremen, tradesmen and GC to promote efficiency.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions.
• Perform material take-offs and ordering to maximize field productivity.
• Ensure quality installation of sheetmetal activities.
• Coordinate deliveries and track against shipping documents.
• Forecast labor needs for crews based on deliveries.
• Monitor daily activities and report progress, compliance, and obstacles.
• Enforce safety and legal regulations on site.
• Communicate with subcontractors and field staff to follow plans and specs.
