We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator and Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality sheet metal components using advanced CNC laser cutting technology and various forming and machining equipment.
Shift is options 4/10 OR 5/8
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines with precision, programming and setting up equipment according to technical specifications and blueprints.
- Fabricate sheet metal components utilizing forming machines, press brakes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Set up and operate machining tools including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other related equipment.
- Perform measurement and inspection using calipers, micrometers, measurement instruments, and other precision measurement tools to verify quality standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, operating machinery correctly, and following safety standards in production.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize fabrication processes, improve efficiency, and uphold quality control standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication combined with proficiency in CNC laser cutting and programming.
- 2 - 3 Years of Tru Bend Trumpf Press Brake and Trumpf Fiber Laser Cutter
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop math.
- Skilled in measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for quality inspection.
- Knowledge of safety standards relevant to machine operation and metal fabrication environments.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively and set up machining tools accurately.
- Basic understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plasma cutting techniques, and tooling processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision measurement in machining tasks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with good communication skills for teamwork and safety compliance.
