Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal in Centerville, IA. The role focuses on fabricating sheet metal parts and operating brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders and deburring equipment to supply upstream departments with components.

You will read blueprints and work orders, inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Proficiency with handheld tools and measuring devices.
• Team oriented and able to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal equipment including brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders and deburring machines.
• Fill all part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Examine finished work pieces for conformity to specifications and maintain clean, safe work area.
