Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator II for the Sheetmetal team in Keosauqua, IA. This onsite, full-time role focuses on operating brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines to fabricate metal parts for our display cases and equipment.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, follow written and verbal instructions, inspect finished pieces, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting production targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and work orders.
• Operates sheet metal equipment (break presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders).
• Uses measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness; follows instructions and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the sheet metal department (brakes, lasers, punch presses, sanders, deburring).
• Fill part requirements to complete rounds for the kit department.
• Read rulers, tapes, calipers, and blueprints; follow written/verbal directions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling; inspect finished parts.
