Job summary

Union Tank Car Company in Louisiana and Ohio is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Manager to develop and manage environmental, health, and safety programs at our railcar manufacturing facilities. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or related field.
3+ years of EHS leadership in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
Experience managing regulatory inspections and compliance programs.
Experience managing contractors and capital projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage plant safety programs and initiatives.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Promote a proactive safety culture focused on injury prevention and employee engagement.
Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Monitor safety performance metrics and develop corrective actions.
Facilitate safety committee meetings and employee engagement activities.
