Job summary

The City of Charlotte is seeking a Transportation Planner to lead the Shared Micromobility Program within CDOT. You will oversee permitted dockless e-scooter and e-bike operations, ensure compliance, analyze ridership data, and coordinate with partners to advance safe, accessible mobility citywide.

Responsibilities include policy development, parking corrals, and public outreach to promote Vision Zero and SMP goals while balancing city priorities and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant work experience.
• Master's degree with three years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Shared Mobility Program Administration: primary city contact for permitted operators and manage program records.
• Policy & Program Development: create policies, analyze data, and inform leadership on improvements.
• Communications & Stakeholder Coordination: prepare responses, engage with council and public stakeholders.
• Shared Micromobility Infrastructure Planning & Development: plan parking corrals and deployment of devices.
