Job summary

The City of Charlotte seeks a Transportation Planner II to lead the Shared Micromobility program within the Mobility Planning Division. You will oversee dockless e-scooter and e-bike operations, ensure operator compliance, and develop policies to support safe, equitable mobility across the city.

You will analyze data, collaborate with partners, and help plan parking corrals while coordinating with city staff and external stakeholders to improve access and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in urban and transportation planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Shared Micromobility program oversight and policy development.
• Coordinate with operators and city staff on data, permits, and compliance.
• Prepare performance summaries and maps for leadership and stakeholders.
• Plan micromobility parking corrals and related infrastructure planning.
