Job summary

The City of New York invites applications for a Strategic Network Planning Coordinator in the Cycling & Micromobility Unit. You will help apply prioritization methods, identify priority projects, and translate citywide goals into a concrete project delivery pipeline across five boroughs.

You will develop metrics, perform data analysis, create maps and conceptual designs, and support public engagement through workshops and community meetings to advance livable streets and safer, greener travel

Qualifications

• Master's degree in city planning, urban planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, transportation engineering, public administration, economic development or related field (or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in city planning such as housing, transportation, environmental, and city-owned land planning projects.
• Graduate education in related fields may substitute for experience on a 30 graduate credit to 1 year basis. All candidates must have a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Cycling & Micromobility Unit priorities and projects.
• Apply prioritization methodology and identify priority projects to expand bike networks.
• Create public-facing materials like maps, diagrams, and reports to communicate priorities.
• Support public engagement through workshops, events, and stakeholder meetings; engage communities in planning initiatives.

Education

Master's degree in city planning or related field

Bachelor's degree with 1 year of professional experience in city planning
