New York City Department of Transportation seeks a City Planner to support the Cycling & Micromobility Unit and the New Streets Plan. The role focuses on prioritizing projects, analyzing data, and communicating priorities to inform planning and design across all five boroughs.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in city planning, urban planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, transportation engineering, public administration, economic development or related field
• Bachelor's degree with 1 year of satisfactory full-time experience in city planning or an equivalent combo
• Graduate credits can substitute for experience with a bachelor’s degree; 30 graduate credits = 1 year of experience; must have a bachelor’s degree

Responsabilités

• Support development and implementation of streets and cycling infrastructure priorities
• Create maps, diagrams, and conceptual designs to communicate unit goals
• Engage with communities, stakeholders, and public workshops to inform planning initiatives
• Coordinate with other units to align priorities with project delivery and program timelines
