Job summary

Mosaic in Iowa invites you to become a Home Provider, welcoming someone with an intellectual disability to live in your home full-time. You’ll support daily living skills, transportation, and community engagement, helping them feel safe, valued, and belonging.

We match families based on interests and support needs, with comprehensive training and ongoing guidance from a dedicated Mosaic team. Must reside in Iowa and be at least 18.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a current resident of Iowa.
• Own/rent a home (house, apartment, condo or townhouse).
• Have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current insurance.
• Internet access and basic computer skills.
• Able to complete required screenings, background checks and training.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning and decision-making.
• Assist with medication administration and medical appointments.
• Help the person build connections, participate in the community and experience belonging.
• Provide transportation and support with daily activities as needed.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with Mosaic support team.
• Help the person build confidence, independence and pursue personal goals.

Supporting:

You are welcoming an individual with an intellectual disability to move into your home and live with you full-time as a part of your household and family dynamic

Average Annual Income:

Approximately $80,000

(federally tax-free)

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• You must be a current resident of the state of Iowa (due to state funding restrictions).
• Own/Rent your own home, apartment, condo, or townhouse
• Active homeowner’s or renter’s insurance
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance
• Internet access and basic computer skills
• Ability to complete required screenings, background checks, and training
• Experience is preferred but not required.
