Job summary

Savage is seeking a Safety Supervisor at our Detroit Handling and Transportation Operations to lead the SH&E program, provide training, and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA/DOT standards. You will coordinate audits, incident investigations, and safety initiatives while supporting a no-accident culture.

Responsibilities include developing training materials, conducting safety inspections, and leading contractor safety activities. Occasional overnight travel (about 10%) is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
• Experience implementing safety programs and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead SH&E programs and training for the Detroit Handling and Transportation Operations.
• Develop safety training materials and lead instructor-led sessions.
• Perform safety inspections, observations, and audits and follow up on corrective actions.
