Responsibilities

  • Maintain the membership calendar, database, website, Drive, and information-sharing systems.
  • Document meetings and minutes, attendance, and action items.
  • Compile member engagement data for monthly reports and reporting needs.
  • Coordinate meetings with elected officials, partners, and leaders.
  • Attend external events to support the Director and coalition members.
  • Provide coordination in Director's absence.

Good Samaritan Family Resource Center is a member and fiscal sponsor of the San Francisco Latino Parity and Equity Coalition (SFLPEC).

Program Summary

San Francisco Latino Parity and Equity Coalition (SFLPEC) is a data-driven, citywide coalition with 24 Latinx-led and Latinx-serving community-based agencies. Our Coalition ensures that the Latinx community who live and work in San Francisco are justly represented and provided with the resources they need to reach their full potential.

Position Summary

The SFLPEC Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and streamlining the day-to-day operations of SFLPEC under the supervision of the director . This includes managing administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining records and databases, and handling communications between coalition members. Overall, the Coordinator is a crucial player in keeping the coalition organized and focused on its goals, and plays a critical role in the coalition's success and its members' engagement. This position is a part-time temporary position according to a funding grant, with a possible extension.

Specific Responsibilities

The Coalition Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of coalition goals, objectives, and activities. Required to either work 3 full 8hr days or 25 hours a week as needed. This is a part-time, remote position requiring approximately 25 hours per week, generally equivalent to three 8-hour days . The weekly schedule is flexible and may vary based on the needs and schedule of coalition members, including meetings, events, and other membership activities. The Coalition Coordinator will work under the supervision of the coalition’s Director to maximize participation and accomplishments. In addition to coordinating strategies, coalition initiatives, and meetings, the individual will be responsible for :

  • Support the Director in maintaining relationships and regular communication with member organizations and key stakeholders by sending email reminders, newsletters, meeting invitations, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate membership meetings, workgroups, trainings, surveys, retreats, events, campaigns, and other coalition activities, including logistics and member engagement.
  • Maintain the membership calendar, database, website, Google Drive, and other coalition information-sharing systems.
  • Coordinate and document meetings and workgroup activities, including minutes, action items, attendance, and other relevant records.
  • Compile member engagement, outreach, and coalition activity information for monthly reports and other reporting needs.
  • Support the Director in coordinating meetings and follow-up with elected officials, leaders, and partners on behalf of coalition members.
  • Attend meetings and external events as needed to support the Director, membership, and coalition activities.
  • In the absence of the Director, provide coordination and support for coalition activities and external engagements as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or will accept three years equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with communities of color, the immigrant community, low-income community members, and paid or volunteer experience with community-based organizations
  • Ability to work in partnership with Concilio and maintain personal commitment with high levels of performance
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Proficient with technology including Zoom and Google Workspace: Email, Calendar, Sheets, and Docs. Etc.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
  • Understanding of San Francisco's political and policy-making history and process
  • Familiarity with Latinx non-profits citywide
  • Anti-oppression, anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion work experience.
Requirements
  • Must complete a full background check (Department of Justice, FBI, Child Abuse Index) after conditional offer is made.
  • Must have TB clearance

  • This position is set in a remote environment.   • Able to regularly use a computer/phone, walk, bend, and climb stairs. Must be able to maneuver, lift and carry event materials, packages, and supplies up to 25 pounds.
