Job summary

The Olympic Club’s Lakeside Clubhouse in San Francisco is hiring a Catering Manager for a full-time role. You will oversee a high-end catering department, manage events from inquiry to post-event follow-up, and coordinate menus with the Executive Chef.

A strong background in luxury hospitality and event sales is essential. Responsibilities include budgeting, vendor liaison, BEO preparation, and ensuring exceptional service and compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• 3 years Food and Beverage management experience in a luxury/high end hospitality environment completing the full service cycle plus previous Banquet/Events Management experience.
• Extensive experience selling and/or servicing weddings, corporate events and meetings.
• Knowledge of San Francisco business trends and competition.
• Solid communication and relationship building skills with members and coworkers.
• Able and willing to work long hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, direct and be responsible for Lakeside Clubhouse Catering functions.
• Book events such as weddings, anniversaries, showers, wine dinners, special events and club activities.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef on menus and pricing within club guidelines.
• Prepare budget and monitor monthly performance to meet revenue projections.
• Generate new business via membership, networking and social media marketing.
• Prepare detailed BEOs and ensure accurate communication to all departments.
• Act as onsite/day-of event manager and manage vendors.
• Ensure compliance with laws, safety regulations and club policies.
