Job summary

The Olympic Club in San Francisco seeks a Dining Room Host for the Lakeside campus. You will greet members and guests, manage reservations with our online booking system, and help create daily floor plans to optimize seating and service flow.

With 1-2 years of hosting experience in busy fine dining, you will provide exceptional customer service, work a flexible schedule, and maintain a polished host stand while coordinating closely with the Food & Beverage team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years hosting experience in a busy fine dining restaurant, hotel, club, or similar outlet.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Be willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Work independently and have attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet and warmly welcome members and guests.
• Utilize online booking system to manage reservations and seat members.
• Create daily floor plans, including server sections and large party arrangements.
• Conduct hourly open menu counts for the culinary team.
• Prepare and organize menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand.
• Enforce member dress code.
• Be able to accommodate member requests and communicate with staff.
• Make sure reservations are up to date by checking the member’s call log daily.
