Job summary

YWCA Clark County is seeking an on-call Sexual Assault Advocate to provide general, medical and legal advocacy for survivors. The role requires rapid hotline response, trauma-informed support, and collaboration with the Sexual Assault Program Director.

The position emphasizes strong boundaries, confidentiality, and ongoing training while serving diverse communities. bilingual skills are preferred and reliable transportation is required for hospital calls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with persons in crisis.
• Complete background check and pass sexual assault advocacy core trainings for Washington state.

Responsibilities

• Provide general, medical and legal advocacy for survivors of sexual assault.
• Call the hotline at the start of each shift and respond within fifteen minutes.
• Provide in-person support during medical forensic exams at Peace Health or Legacy.
• Document participant information in accordance with confidentiality policies and submit to the Director within 24 hours of calls or visits.
• Submit participant-related documents and accurately fill out timesheets by due date each month.
• Adhere to organizational policies and the Sexual Assault program.
• Attend 12 hours of continuing education in sexual assault annually.
