Job summary

Arhaus in Ohio is seeking a Fabric and Leather Material Handler to ensure fabric and leather are stored properly and moved to cutting areas in a timely manner.

You will keep storage neat, work with receiving and manufacturing, and lift up to 100 lbs, with overtime and weekend shifts.

This non-exempt full-time role requires reading tickets, basic math, and strong English communication.

POSITION DETAILS

JOB PURPOSE
Ensures fabric and leather are stored properly. Also, keep the required specified material in the cutting areas in a timely manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep fabric and leather storage area neat and organized.
• Maintain correct fabric and leather at the machines and cutting tables per the schedule.
• Works closely with receiving and manufacturing.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1+ years’ experience in receiving.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in furniture manufacturing preferred.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Less than High School

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent

REQUIRED SKILLS

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Must be able to obtain Forklift/Platform/Order Picker certification.

Must be able to work at heights of up to 35ft.
Must be able to walk/stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
Must be able to work in normal conditions of a furniture manufacturing plant which is heated and cooled.
Must have good vision.
Must be able to wear required PPE of Safety Glasses and close-toe/close-heal shoes when required.
Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
