Job summary

The City of Bowie is seeking a Utilities Service Worker to assist in sewer cleaning and TV inspection of sewer lines and to repair sewer lines and water mains. The role includes helping install water meters, fire hydrants, and storm drains as needed.

Candidates must be able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform manual labor for extended periods, including overtime during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of sewer cleaning and TV inspection of sewer lines.
• Repair sewer lines and water mains as needed.
• Assist with installation of water meters, fire hydrants and storm drains.
