Baltimore County is seeking qualified personnel for the Department of Public Works and Transportation, Bureau of Utilities, with responsibilities in maintenance, construction, inspection, and response related to water and sewer systems.

Eligible applicants will be assessed based on training and experience, including supplemental questions. A current Maryland driver's license and valid medical certification may be required for certain positions.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience in water and/or sewer maintenance, construction, or dispatch work.
• Some positions may require possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a commercial, class B or class A Maryland driver's license and a current Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Applicants will be qualified based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as stated on their application, which includes answers to the supplemental questions.

Responsabilités

• Plans, coordinates, supervises, and participates in the maintenance, construction, inspection, cleaning, and repair of water and wastewater lines and related components.
• Supervises crews in installation, repair and maintenance of lines, house connections, and manholes; plans line excavations and oversees roadwork, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
• Oversees safety training, maintains records, prepares routine reports, and coordinates with public safety and utility agencies.
