Job summary

The City of Saratoga Springs is hiring a Sewer Maintenance Worker I in the Public Works Department. This full-time role, about 40 hours weekly, supports the sanitary sewer system and serves as an after-hours on-call responder for emergencies and snow plowing.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED; no experience required but preferred background in water/sewer work. CDL Class A with Tanker or ability to obtain, plus OSHA certifications, are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; preference for prior water/sewer experience.
• Sewer Collections I/II certification within 12 months of hire.
• Must possess a valid Utah CDL Class A with Tanker or obtain within 6 months.
• OSHA Confined Space and Trench Safety training; First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance of the City's sewer infrastructure.
• Jetting of sewer lines.
• Inspections of manholes.
• Maintenance of sewer lift stations.
• Snow plowing of public streets as needed.
• General maintenance duties of public facilities as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned
