Job summary

City of Saratoga Springs (Housing Authority) seeks a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain buildings, grounds and equipment. The role covers multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, heating and electrical work.

A NYS driver's license is required at appointment and steady on-site availability is expected. Typical duties include inspecting properties, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in maintenance work involving carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades.
• Eligibility for a New York State driver’s license at time of application; license required at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain buildings, grounds and equipment.
• Work across mechanical trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, heating or electrical maintenance.
• Assist in various mechanical fields as required; follow supervision with some independent judgment.
• Installs and repairs electrical wiring and equipment.
• Prepares and paints interior and exterior surfaces.
• May operate a vehicle or other equipment as part of duties.
