Job summary

The City of Sidney, Ohio seeks an I&I Equipment Operator to perform both field operations and data-related duties for the Sanitary Sewer Inflow and Infiltration program. The role may focus on field crew tasks, computerized inspections, or a blend of both per department needs and training progress.

Responsibilities include supporting reliable utility service and potentially responding to emergency repairs outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement or obtain within 12 months.
• Experience in underground utilities or related work desirable.
• Must obtain Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Collection license within 18 months.
• Must obtain NASSCO PACP, MACP, and LACP certifications within 18 months.
• Employer may consider combinations of education, certifications, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• The I&I Equipment Operator performs field operations and data-related duties.
• Assignments may emphasize field crew work, computerized inspection and records work, or a combination of both.
• May be required to support reliable utility service and respond to emergency repairs outside normal hours.
