Job summary

The City of High Point is seeking a Sewer Mains Specialist to support the Senior Mains Specialist in daily collection system operations. You will perform SSO reporting, system cleaning, data collection, and field inspections, while guiding semi-skilled workers under city policies.

You'll handle regulatory reports, assist with FOG and I&I programs, maintain records, and respond to emergencies as needed, using various field tools and GIS data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Preferred associate degree in a related field; relevant certifications valued.
• Must obtain Confined Space Competent Person within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Back-up ORCs for collections and assist in daily sewer operations.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
• Complete required reports for agencies and maintain system records.
• Locate utilities, read plans/maps, and assist in field inspections.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and coordinate with other teams.
