Job summary

Brunswick County Public Utility is seeking a Utilities Crew Supervisor to lead the Sewer Collections team, overseeing maintenance, repairs, and service taps. You will prepare diagrams, supervise crews, and coordinate with Purchasing to procure parts.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and data-driven reporting. The Supervisor will act as ORC/Backup ORC for the water system and report to the Collections Superintendent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 7+ years experience in water distribution or wastewater collections or construction.
• Experience supervising and coordinating a crew preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work of mechanics and technicians for service taps, maintenance, repairs, and operations.
• Prepare sketches and diagrams of proposed services and line repairs.
• Oversee and inspect work of assigned crew; coordinate with Purchasing for parts.
• Assign and coordinate work orders for leaks, line breaks, installations, and regulators.
• Assist with safety procedures and training; use work-order data for reports.
