Job summary

Baltimore County's Department of Public Works and Transportation seeks a supervisor to lead crews in maintaining and repairing water and sewer lines and related facilities.

Under general supervision, you will plan, coordinate, and monitor work, inspect completed jobs, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Candidates should have four years of relevant experience and a valid Maryland commercial driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience in water and/or sewer maintenance, construction, or dispatch work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, supervises, and participates in a crew or crews engaged in the installation, repair and maintenance of water and sewer lines, house connections, and manholes.
• Plans, coordinates, and supervises routine maintenance and cleaning of lines; supervises operation of line inspection units and related equipment.
• Keeps records of crew activities and prepares routine reports; coordinates safety procedures and calls for appropriate equipment and personnel.
