Job summary

Tempur Sealy in the Phoenix area is seeking a Cap Flanger sewing operator to assemble the bottom covering of a one-sided mattress by joining the border and bottom panel. You will read order tickets, select materials, and operate sewing equipment to complete precise seams.

The role requires good hand-eye coordination, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the stamina to sit or stand for extended periods. Flexibility for overtime and Saturdays is expected.

Summary:

This sewing position, also referred to as a "Cap Flanger", will be responsible for a variety of sewing machines to sew border, bottom panel and flange material together to form the bottom covering of a one-sided mattress.

Essential Duties:

• This person will read the information on the order ticket and collect the accurate materials to be sewn.
• The operator takes the side border of the mattress and sews it to the bottom cloth panel.
• While sitting, the operator uses hand movement to push the border through the sewing machine jaws as it is sewn to the panel.
