Job summary

Tempur Sealy International is a global bedding company with leading brands and a long history of innovation. We seek motivated individuals for on-site manufacturing roles in Kansas City who can contribute to our production lines.

No prior experience is required, and training is provided. You will perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting with feeding and operating equipment to assemble mattresses and components.

• Continuous walking and standing at workstation.
• Frequent handling of mattresses on worktable and moving to conveyor.
• Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent use of glue and/or nail gun and operating equipment.
• Repetitive use of hands/arms to pull edges together and feed them into the machine.

No previous experience required but is a plus

• Continuous walking and standing (standing at workstation, walking short distances around workstation.)
• Continuous repetitive use of hands/arms to pull edges together and feed them into the machine.
• Continuous grasping of boarder that panel edges while feeding the machine.
• Continuous repetitive use of the right leg to operate the control panel.
• Frequent handling (pulling/pushing) of mattresses on worktable and from workstation to conveyor.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional fine manipulation to reload/string the machine.
• Frequent reaching overhead (reaching above shoulder level for component parts from staging carts onto mattress, reaching for glue gun or nail gun)
• Frequent pulling/pushing of mattresses weighing up to 200 pounds from worktable to transfer table or conveyor.
• Frequent repetitive use of hands/arms to operate glue and /or nail gun as well as handle various mattress components
• Frequent grasping (gripping component parts, stretching panels over mattress corners) #LI-DNP
