Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Cap Flanger sewing operator in Phoenix to join our manufacturing team. The role involves preparing materials, sewing the side border to the bottom panel, and ensuring precise assembly of mattress components.

The position requires good hand-eye coordination, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work extended hours including overtime and Saturdays as needed. Prior sewing experience is preferred.

Summary:

This sewing position, also referred to as a "Cap Flanger", will be responsible for a variety of sewing machines to sew border, bottom panel and flange material together to form the bottom covering of a one-sided mattress.

Essential Duties:

• This person will read the information on the order ticket and collect the accurate materials to be sewn.
• The operator takes the side border of the mattress and sews it to the bottom cloth panel.
• While sitting, the operator uses hand movement to push the border through the sewing machine jaws as it is sewn to the panel.
