Candidates should have strong hand-eye coordination, basic reading of order tickets, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and Saturdays may be required.

• Read the information on the order ticket and collect the accurate materials to be sewn.

• Operate sewing machine and push the border through the jaws as it is sewn to the panel.

Summary:

This sewing position, also referred to as a “Cap Flanger”, will be responsible for a variety of sewing machines to sew border, bottom panel and flange material together to form the bottom covering of a one-sided mattress.

Essential Duties:

• This person will read the information on the order ticket and collect the accurate materials to be sewn.
• The operator takes the side border of the mattress and sews it to the bottom cloth panel.
• While sitting, the operator uses hand movement to push the border through the sewing machine jaws as it is sewn to the panel.

Requirements

• Very good hand-eye coordination
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Sit and/or stand in place for extended periods of time
• Read and comprehend basic order information
• Work flexible hours, including overtime - and Saturdays as needed
• Previous sewing experience preferred
