Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe needs under licensed staff direction. You will assist with curriculum delivery, behavior strategies, and assignment completion in both in-person and remote settings.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, maintaining records, preparing instructional materials, and ensuring a safe, hygienic environment. Training in crisis intervention and medication administration is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Two years of college or higher education required for Title I assignments.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate interpersonal relations skills.
• Intermediate organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and monitor progress with licensed staff.
• Assist with materials, tests, attendance, and classroom events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Monitor student behavior and support social/communication development (ILC/Homebound).
• Provide basic physical care as trained by staff and assist with safety.
