Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. The role includes curriculum adaptation, small group instruction, progress recording, and ensuring a clean, safe environment in both in-person and remote settings.

Responsibilities extend to implementing IEP accommodations, assisting with material prep, tests, and applicable routines, and providing tech support for remote learning.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check is required and fingerprinting may be required.
• HSE diploma or equivalent is required; associate degree preferred.
• No professional work experience is required.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training for Autism/BD/ILC staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress records with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials, assist with tests and attendance, and support events.
• Online/remote tasks include assisting with online learning and tech support.
• Maintain records of student progress and assist with de-escalation when needed.
