Job summary

Adecco Staffing is partnering with a high-level manufacturing facility in Laconia, NH to hire Setup Operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with pay rates from $23.70 to $24.78 per hour.

You will set up machines in the Grinding Department, perform finish grinding and honing on various parts, and work to close tolerances. OT may be required; safety and quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and process sheets.
• Follow drawings, specs and standard procedures accurately.
• Maintain production and quality standards.
• Report irregularities in fits, finishes or workmanship.
• Keep necessary production records and audits.

Responsibilities

• Set up at least one machine in Grinding Department.
• Finish grind or hone ferrous and non-ferrous parts to tolerance.
• Select speeds, feeds and tooling; monitor machines.
• Change grinding wheels and tool points as needed.
• Run first piece and obtain approval for production.
• Maintain calibration of gauges and masters.
• Document issues and ensure clean, safe work area.

Adecco Staffing is working with a high-level manufacturing facility in Laconia, NH who is looking to hire additional Setup Operators on 2nd and 3rd shift!

This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

Pay Rate

• 2nd Shift: $23.70 per hour
• 3rd Shift: $24.78 per hour

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 11:30am Monday – Friday, OT may be required when needed.
• 3rd Shift: 11:30pm to 7:30am Sunday – Thursday, OT may be required when needed.

Job Summary

Perform required duties to set up a minimum of one machine in the Grinding Department, to perform a limited variety of finish grinding or honing on ferrous, non-ferrous parts, working to close and critical tolerances and finishes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work from drawings, process sheets, specifications, standard procedures, instructions.
• Finish grind such parts as balls, races, bodies, flange bushings, bushings, bearings, and rod end assemblies.
• Perform bearing releasing operations.
• Select speeds, feeds, and set tooling on machines.
• Monitor machines and make adjustments as necessary to ensure parts meet production standards.
• Change grinding wheels and diamond tool points when required.
• Run first piece to ensure standards are met andobtain department approval for production run.
• Maintain inspection department initial calibration of gaugingusing masters andgauging blocks.
• Sharpen tooling.
• Operate one or more machines simultaneously.
• Use precision measuring instruments, master gauges, gauging
• blocks, dressing, and hand tools.
• Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties.
• Detect andreport improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervision.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow all safety and security practices.
• Perform other job related duties as required or as directed.

Job Skills & Abilities

• Read and understand product blueprint/specification sheets from engineering department
• Read, reference and interpret written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures
• Maintain established production levels and quality standards
• Recognize and report any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship
• Maintain necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections

Pay Details: $23.70 to $24.78 per hour
