Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Advanced manufacturing or machining training and/or certification preferred.
• Three or more years of manufacturing and machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced CNC operation, setup, and programming.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
• Operate multiple machines as required.
• Select and set up tooling and fixtures.
• Adjust tooling and offsets for dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and edit/modify as needed.
• Inspect your work and co-workers’ for quality.
• Maintain tolerances and part quality.
• Set up and operate all department machines.
• Support continuous improvement in processes, productivity, and safety.
• Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Utilize QMS, MAX, and SPC databases as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized shop, and assist teammates as needed.

Position
CNC Machinist

Shift
1st shift: 6:30am-2:30pm Monday-Friday

2nd shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm Mon-Friday

Pay
$25-40/hr depending on experience. DIRECT HIRE.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour

Position Summary

This advanced-level position is responsible for operating CNC machinery, executing complex machine setups, and performing CNC programming and program modifications to ensure precision, quality, and production efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform advanced CNC machine operation, setup, and programming.
• Load raw materials and unload completed parts.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously as required.
• Select and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures.
• Adjust tooling and work offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot existing CNC programs, perform significant program edits, and complete basic program development.
• Inspect personal work and the work of co-workers to ensure quality standards are met.
• Make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional tolerances, part quality, and accuracy.
• Demonstrate the ability to set up and operate all machines within the department.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on processes, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Properly use precision measurement tools, including snap gauges, micrometers, digital calipers, and optical comparators.
• Effectively use and understand Quality Management Systems (QMS), MAX, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) databases as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including replenishing lubricants.
• Help establish procedures while consistently following quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, including equipment cleaning, chip removal, and workstation upkeep.
• Collaborate with team members within and outside the department and provide assistance as needed.
• Communicate production delays and operational issues promptly and effectively.
• Work independently under minimal supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated with a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Functional knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and basic mathematics.
• Solid understanding of machining practices and processes.
• Advanced understanding of CNC programming languages.

Education & Experience
