Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Shelbyville, KY is looking for a Set Up Operator – Set on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm). This on-site, full-time role pays $22.52/hour plus a $1.50 shift premium totaling $24.02/hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

You will operate, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, and clean machines, maintain safety and quality, document work, and support continuous improvement initiatives. High school diploma and basic skills required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use and operate basic tools, equipment, & gages.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and standard work instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Heavy physical effort required, equivalent to lifting, pushing, pulling 5 to 30 pounds.
• Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality.
• Flexibility to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, and clean machines and equipment as needed while maintaining proper flow of product to meet service level goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates, exemplifying 6S principals.
• Ensure all products meet specifications, maintain quality standards of product following quality assurance on FPI.
• Properly fill out all documentation and labels.
• Properly handle all scrap, rework, and mixed product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
