Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Shelbyville, KY, is seeking a Set Up Operator for the 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm). You’ll operate, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, and clean machines to maintain flow and meet service level goals.

A high school diploma or GED is required along with basic math, reading blueprints, and basic computer skills. You will contribute to a safe, quality-driven environment with 6S practices and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use basic tools, equipment, & gages.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and standard work instructions.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Reading and writing English; follow safety and quality instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, and clean machines and equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment following 6S principles.
• Ensure products meet specifications and quality standards (QA on FPIs).
• Fill out all documentation and labels accurately.
• Handle scrap, rework, and mixed product; perform other duties as assigned.
