Job summary

Manitowoc Pattern & Machining (MP&M) in Manitowoc, WI, is hiring a Set Up Machinist for 2nd shift. You will set up CNC machining centers, build and adjust toolpaths, and optimize tooling and speeds to deliver first-part accuracy.

The role requires reading blueprints, collaborating with engineers, and troubleshooting issues on the fly. Enjoy a climate-controlled shop and weekend 3-day schedules as part of a stable, growing company.

Qualifications

3 PM – 1 AM, Monday–Thursday. Every weekend is a 3-day weekend. $25+/hr, based on experience.

• Setting up CNC machining centers from blueprint to first good part — not just hitting cycle start
• Building and modifying toolpaths
• Optimizing tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Reading blueprints and process sheets and catching issues before they become problems
• Troubleshooting setups on the fly when something's not cutting right
• Working directly with engineers on tooling and design improvements
